Mr. Schechtelre,

I am currently a patrol officer out of central city precinct in which I graduated the academy in april of 2008. I attended the University of Wyoming from 2001 to 2006 in which I played football for the pokes and started as their punter for the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Anyways I recall playing Air Force in colorado springs in which i remember asking you to remove your sunglasses from the kicking net so i could warm up. You were very polite and i think that I even plucked ur sunglasses from the net so they wouldn't get damaged.

After being employed by the PPD and hearing ur story, I realized that it was more than likely u that i had encourtered in CO, Springs especaially after learning of ur past frequent visits to air force football games. It is amazing yet crazy that I met u while in college and now that I am in ur shoes as a Phx police officer. As it amazing it was meeting u while in a football uniform on the sidelines at a D! football game, I find it incredibly to know what u had gone through and to not know that i would one day also become a PHX police officer lke ur self and join the same brotherhood.

Jason, what an inspiration you have been to all of us at the Phoenix Police Department. I also wanted to thank you for speaking to my Moon Valley High School Police/Fire classes reference your experience. You have truly made an impact in their young lives. So many people take their lives for granted and choose to be unhappy when they have so much to live for. Then a role model like you becomes a messenger of hope and inspiration after overcoming all of the personal and physical hurdles placed in front of you. Continue your mission my friend. Love the website.

Jason,
I wish you all the best with your new foundation. I heard you speak at a medical records state convention several years ago and have never forgotten it. You have such an awesome attitude. I've known people who have been thru so much less and become angry, bitter people. From now on, I'll point them toward your website.
